Roadtip help

The question for me is why does the bike require any oil ?
All four of my Lc's have never used any oil between services ?And for the warning to show, must mean very low on the window ?
Where's it gone ?
Because it used it. Nothing wrong with that.

That's not normal for this Motor. The 1150's used to "use oil", but not the LC's. If the oil level has dropped, There's either a leak, or an issue. The LC engine does not "Use oil"
Mine has. Hard ridden for 3.5k tour and I couldn't care less. It's down on the service fill and will be refilled on the 12k service.

If I really gave mine a beasting, like up a mountain 2 up in 40° heat, it would lose a few drops of coolant from the weep hole, but never used any oil
Keep beasting it for the next 3 to four days of passes Leadfarmer and id almost guarantee you'd use a bit of oil mate!

Possibly. But its not normal to "use oil"
Enjoy your hard riding !
It is on mine so far. Let's see if it does it again on my September tour. Either way, as long as it's not blowing blue smoke it doesn't matter
Engines use oil!

Mines the same, just been hooning around the Picos and Portugal a couple of weeks ago, topped it up about halfway through the tour with about 400ml.
My tyres on the other hand are now shagged :ROFLMAO: .....Completely worth it :thumby:

Yep all 3 LC's that I've owned have used oil. But I try to use the gsap to slow me down and brakes only when that's not enough.

If it was just serviced, check there’s no signs of leaks around the oil filter, drain plug and rocker covers just in case, if they’re dry, as Onahi says, the LCs don’t use oil
:roll lol they do, just not as much as the hexheads
