Rukka gear and Motolegends

Rukka ? I wouldn't buy or wear anything else regardless of what people think or the price. I spent many years in the job charging about in leather getting filthy hot or cold and wet .. then when I transferred up to The Met I needed "proper" kit to keep me warm and dry for my last 8 years of what was a decent commute of 64 miles each way. Rukka ticked all the boxes and I love it. Each to their own of course. :)

Rukka ?
Overpriced and mediocre Chinese crap.
Had Rukka Nivala suit . Always leaked at crotch .Jacket zip bust but fixed under good warranty .
Certainly not worth over £2k !
Sold and replaced with Bering laminated kit . Better fit. More comfortable. Totally waterproof and cost under 1/4 of the Rukka shite from that purveyor of fine products who wears a cap and pisses of 90% of the haters on here 🤣
Funny how all Chinese bikes are shite yet Rukka kit which is made cheaply in China is terrific 😜.
Each to their own of course

I do like Rukka “shite” but a few things bug me.
Why is it that after 1 wash the logo and “dots “ all come off. Really annoys me.
Secondly why does their so called waterproof range alway mean I get a soaking wet crotch…ALWAYS….🤬🤬🤬

So someone recommend me a decent laminated suit with reasonable ventilation but that’s 100% waterproof. Especially the troos.

And no, I have never paid 2k for a Rukka suit. I always get it discounted from Louis or FC Moto
Maybe this needs a new thread….

Laminated suit with good venting -yet to be made. And you’ll still be too hot.
I replaced my Rukka leaky chink suit with Bering Hurricane suit and Klim Marrakesh jacket and pants and still had a grand left over

Don’t worry, there’ll be another Motolegends hate thread by mid November . Success breeds contempt on here 🤡🤡🤡

My Rukka suit is over 30 years old and the original made in Finland gear - Goretex
It’s relegated to winter riding now, but it’s always been 100% dry and never leaked
All the logos are intact and nothing has gone wrong with it

Yep been riding in Rukka gear for 30 years and done tens of thousands of miles in it. Always kept me dry and always been lucky when bouncing down the road. At least two decades of all year daily riding. My go to gear along with my Gerbing heated jacket. Summer I normally wear Kevlar jeans and a Dianeese summer jacket. Horses for courses and each to their own but I like Rukka gear never let me down.

The "Chap in the Cap" made great play recently about Rukka gear being issued as standard to the Met Police (and one other force in the nether regions of the East, apparently) and deduces thereby that the Police/other professionals like/aspire to riding around in Rukka gear.
Let me remind you that all the other forces are equipped either by BKS or Hideout - not least because they do make-to-measure.
The chap in the cap is correct. Met bikers were issued Rukka early 2023.

Was supposed to happen years before that but apparently there were delays caused by the procurement company used by the Met, DHL, I think. One of the issues was DHL finding cheaper kit, which I think was Oxford and trying to order that instead. The traffic guy in charge of process found out and went mental apparently, cancelled the order and had to start the process again.

Our kit was fitted and supplied through Infinity.
