Rusty bolts....

Has anyone any useful tips on how to remove the surface rust on BMW Allen bolts such as these, and what is the best (dull?) silver paint to repaint them with? I like the ‘standard’ look, otherwise I would just swap them all for s/s! Thanks

Yea. But. It means the galvanising has gone... the rust will be back...

For this lot of bolts, I'd be inclined to buy new

Here’s a thought. Hows about replacing them with standard non stainless bolts of the same size. They’ll fit your demanding requirements exactly.
