S.E.T.R.A Regs out

lol... bugger, I was wondering when this was on :D looks like they'll just be finishing around now.

nice day out there, but bloody cold.

Went and helped out with some marshalling.Very mudddy first thing, took its toll on a few of the riders.
The chalk hills were a real challenge. As always a really well organised event from SETRA.

Interesting mix of bikes but must have been 90% KTM.I have not seen so many 2 strokes in a race for ages.

yeah, its a pretty interesting event all round really. I'm pretty sure I'm right in saying the guy who won last time was on a 125. Just goes to show displacement isnt everything.

strange that it was pretty much all KTMs, makes you wonder why they are doing so badly commercially. It's odd I'd have thought Yam's and Hondas would have been equally good out there on those conditions.

What did you end up doing marshalling wise? Did you get to ride much of the course or were you static?

The Yam 450's struggled to keep traction but the KTM's and Hondas had no problems. It was interesting watching the difference in power and tecnique. The smaller capicity machines had a hard time as the mud was very sicky and clung to the bikes.Overall i think a 2 stroke 250/300 would have been perfect.

We were asked to remain static for 2/3 laps so riders got there bearings we then we were allowed to ride the track and help as required.
A good morning out overall.

Cool, I'm surprised the Yam's had problems, but I guess there wouldnt have been many of them. I know mind did, but that was more the rider than the bike ;)

Its amazing how much difference the weather makes to that event, but its always a good one to watch.
