Salisbury Plain Enduro 22nd Nov

Dam it.......:(

I believe they sign up rolling marshals on the day - I've not worked out how or when yet, but Bakerman might be able to give you an idea...

could be a chance to pitch up and try before you buy?

it's bloody hard going on a BM in the wet though, there was a HP2 doing it this time last year, I'm not sure his battery lasted one round, never mind the rider :(

edit : it looked a damn sight more achievable in the dry!

Go for it! Even if you find a section that is impossible on the GSA nobody would mind if you cut out a section, it's not like you are going to be challenging for the lead.:D

I'm not sure that's completely true Sid... when I did it I got the distinct impression varying from the defined track would get you kicked off the enduro. The area is used for all sorts and I think they ensure the track is cleared of anything nasty, but even then I seem to remember Bakes saying he had a tyre burned out by a phospherous flare kicked up by the rider in front of him...

I have entered this event twice on an H P 2 The club is extremely friendly and will explain where you can avoid any difficult bits. The first time i could ride every part of the track and still really enjoyed it. the second time the battery let me down within the first five minutes. Even then the club organised sombody to come over and jump start it for me without me even asking. Now have an odyssey fitted and have no more problems. anybody thinking about this event should definitely try for an entry. you will not regret it.

its a great event.:thumb

my Back bad in Feb but if I can do 9 or 10 laps anybody can.

Will be Marshalling again as they are just a great bunch.

they gave the HOSPICE £500 in my dads name last year, very touching.

Anything you want to know, but I can`t help with enteries

I stand corrected. I think you're second time was my first attempt at it as I remember the battery problems - if only I'd known you could avoid the difficult bits I might have got further :D

Its a bloody good event! I've got some pics here and here if you want more of a taster

I will enter this event if there is 2 other GS or GSA riders who enter it as well. I might not be able to get my tank round, but it will be a laugh trying. Anyone up for make a arse of themselves.:blast

I'd join you on my 12GSA for a twat-fest if it wasn't for the fact that I'm away when the event is on.:blast

Actually, i've just seen the final entry list, and entries are now closed :tears

Looks like i'm in, and riding the biggest bike in the field. I'm starting to wonder if i might have over looked something here??

oh feck oh feck oh feck :blast

What have i let myself in for???

:mmmm

No, just torn up entry, had a great day with my family today and want to do it again next Sunday, after years of being selfish on a Sunday and always doing what I want, I`m going to stay well clear of the place, and have another family day out.

What:eek:

Bring the family along to the event. You know it makes sense. I was going to ask if you would be my fuel man? :)

Just a quick query, are number's supplied by the club or do i have to source my own??

You have to provide your own numbers. You can make some up yourself with a bit of black tape.:)

I'll be setting off soon to drive across from Devon. Weather forecast doesn't look too good.:( My son is already making excuses saying that his TKC tyres will not have enough grip compared to my full on knobblies:).

See you all in the morning.

Bakerman, thanks for offer but we have booked into a nearby Travelodge for tonight.

Cheers

Sid no.14 & Martin no. 68
