taken from the regs:
"6 TYRES Optional, Black and Round Front and Rear."
Will have to sort some numbers today...

guess i should pay more attention to how things read after cutting and pasting...You have to provide your own numbers. You can make some up yourself with a bit of black tape.
I'll be setting off soon to drive across from Devon. Weather forecast doesn't look too good.My son is already making excuses saying that his TKC tyres will not have enough grip compared to my full on knobblies
.
See you all in the morning.
Bakerman, thanks for offer but we have booked into a nearby Travelodge for tonight.
Cheers

You could have raced on your door step so to speak, Xmoor club have an event on near Bude same day![]()
BOLLOX!!!!!!!!
Left home at 5.00 pm for the 4 hour drive to get to Andover. Had booked travelodge not far from Tidworth for fresh start in morning.
Managed to get MOST of the way there in my wife's fecking Land Rover Discovery. At around 8.30pm whilst doing 60 mph, the vehicle suddenly lost all power and came to a complete halt. Luckily, I just managed to get onto hard shoulder of M4 as engine died. Lots of smoke coming from under bonnet. Quick assessment suggested engine was FUBAR.
Immediate thought was get AA to take us to hotel and we would worry about Landie in morning. As we were on motorway we got "priority" service so they reached us after one hour at 9.30 pm. Took a while to recover vehicle as we also had trailer behind with the KTM and Honda.
Eventually recovered to Services where another AA man examined engine and agreed that it was definitely completely "Donald Ducked". He suggested dropping us off at hotel with bikes and taking Landie back to home in Devon but he was not allowed to do this by HQ. I did consider phoning wife and asking her to drive the three and half hours to collect us in my car but thought better of it. Unfortunately, neither the KTM or Honda are road legal at the moment (no tax or insurance as never used on road). Only option was to get Landie and bikes recovered back to Devon.
Next idea was to get back home quickly and come back in other car.
Unfortunately, it took a long time to get things sorted until the driver of the first recovery vehicle run out of driving hours so could only take us so far. Then we had to wait for another recovery wagon but he too had to wait for a while on a break to comply with his tachograph.
I have just got back in the house at 4.55 am exactly 12 hours since we originally left.
If I left now I might just make it back in time to start the race at 10.03 am. Unfortunately, I would have to OD on Red Bull to stay awake and would then be in no fit state to race an enduro bike for 3 hours.
So thats 2 x £52 entry fees and a £40 travellodge and half a tank of diesel in the Landie and 12 wasted hours.
And now you tell me I could have gone to an event down the road!!!!
I think I will still be too knackered for an event in Bude but would love to know more details for future reference.![]()

F*cking well done to Losttheplot!
I'm not sure how many laps you got in, but you did excellently mate!
I did try to find you at the end, but you must have collapsed in a van or something![]()
