This place has been recommended previously by @Arsey and @EVskiy but no thread in this section yet. Close to the Sad Hill cemetry, a former movie set.
Stayed a night here last week. Pleasant village but very quiet, midweek in early June. The hotel is nice and has garage parking for 9 euros in the street behind the hotel. Your room keycard opens the gate and they have a box where you post your room card as you leave so you do not need to go around the block to reception to hand it back.
The patrón Juan looks like Peter Sellers and runs his hotel like Fawlty Towers but the Sad Hill themed amber ale is good and the food was okay although not the best value but you are in a very touristy town.
Trying to pay was comical. When I checked in, I was told the room was paid (untrue) and I only had to pay the parking. I tried to add the parking to my food bill but that was a concept beyond Juan. The following morning I tried to pay the parking after breakfast (included in the room rate) but was giving up on the third attempt as Juan and wife were leaving by the front door. I stared at him, shrugged and went back up the stairs to leave. As I got to the top, Juan was running up the stairs with my bill and a card machine. He only wanted the 9 euros to room bill still not paid. Nothing on the credit card used to secure the booking on hotels.com but I assumed they would use this to collect the money.
Two days later, just as I was arriving in Plymouth, an email arrives from Juan asking to be paid. He had set up a payment request from Caixa bank which I have since paid.
I would use it again. The Sierra la Demanda and Arlazon gorge to the NE of the hotel are a pleasant way to head north into Cantabria.

Edited the title slightly, to slip in a rough location. This is in the hope that someone looking for a hotel near Burgos, might find it in a search
