Sargent or Kahedo - which is the best?

I have tried a Wunderlich Kahedo low and found that although they maintain it is lower than the low BMW seat my feet are no lower to the Tarmac due I think to that it seems to be a tad wider.

Does the same apply to the low Sargent seat as you have tried both.

Im thinking of buying a low Sargent but if my feet are no closer to the floor there is no point as comfort on long runs is not a problem, but being a short arse is!!!!

Any advise would be appreciated Tom. (Not the Cuban heel crack though!)

I have the Kahedo low and found I can get my feet down on both sides simultaneously, something I couldn't quite do on the BuMW low seat. I find it more comfortable than the BuMW standard seat and way better than their rock-hard low version.

I've never tried a Sargent so I can't comment on them, but I suspect that as someone else suggested, it's likely to be a matter of personal choice.

I'm 5' 8" tall, and find that the Sargent Seat on the low setting just perfect on my 1200GSA. It's well broken in now and so comfortable that a three hour non-stop ride is a breeze. Never tried any other seats (Corbin/Kahedo) but can vouch for the Sargent seat.

IMHO

1st Corbin

2nd Sargent

3rd Wunderlich Kahedo

However the Russell or Bill Mayer saddles, made in USA may beat all of them - but I've never hade the pleasure of one

Thank you Indecisive for the Sargent seat comparison - Much appreciated your time and input.

Looks like I've definately got the regular height seat. Seems it's Sargent's comparative seat height measurements that are now in question.

This was great for feet flat on the floor, however it meant that I sat lower into the bike with knees bent more and ultimately less comfortable for my shape.

Have any other Sargent seat owners found their standard seat to be lower than expected?

I had one for my 1150GSA. It was very very comfortable, but like you I found my knees were bent more than the standard seat, so altho I had no more numb bum, my knees weren't comfortable at all.

If you read the blurb on Sargents website, they say that the seats are slightly lower for better stability, but that because they're wider, leg length to footpegs is the same as a standard seat.

However, I personally think this is bollocks...............because my knees are more bent that they normally are.

Why they can't just make them the same height as the standard seats is beyond me.

V. nice car :thumb2

Thank you all for your input in that subject.

It seems there is no perfect seat :drool

Just by a sheep skin for £10 from lambland.co.uk brilliant stuff . You will get about 40 sheep skins for the same money as a sergent seat :thumb2

That what I call a comfy seat:D

Just made an order for a sheep skin today. Many thanks kebabtomten for the tip :thumb

I have the Kahedo high seat. The stock seat was too low and i suffered sore butt after 20 min and knee problems. Since fitting the Kahedo no more issues - I also use a sheepskin on longer trips. The seat is firm but is naturally contoured and comfortable.
