Hi all, trust you're enjoying the weather.
Am about to go back to GS's (my 4th in 12 years) by chocking in my 2013 RT 90 Anniv for a 2013 GS TE which has a sat nav cradle. I am due a new sat nav and willing to get a bike orientated one. I've tried the Garmin 350 and although I'm not as used to it as a TomTom I was fine with it. I have read that the Garmins (660,665?) fit straight on and charge but don't interface with the thumb wheel. Frankly if the BMW units are £200 more I'll do without the thumb wheel. I use Tyre to Travel but also have used Basecamp and find Tyre easier to work with especially putting waypoints in. I'd rather not faff about taking the cradle off and changing wiring etc.
So, questions are do the 660 or 665 fit and charge? Is the 665 worth the extra for occasional use? What else, if anything, is suitable that fits straight in?
Thanks all.
