It looks like I'll be in because it's all gone quiet in the conveyancing world.:confused::confused:

Besides I need to speak to Mrs Woodsie.

A sudden change of plan...

...means I probably will not, but might, be able to make the start, or if not, perhaps see you all at The Harrow, maybe.

Looking forward to Saturday

After the ignominy suffered by Kev when he arrived in a CAR  only to tell us that his bike had been nobbled by Screwfix...

We were rescued by Joe who found a route (several in fact on his trusty Tomtom) so we sampled a few before setting off on the only one for which there remained sufficient hours in the day (for those of us who had to go to work at any rate - poor sods).

We finished up here - well known to many a Tosser no doubt.

saving the day

2nd the above, well done Joe for volunteering and stepping up to the mark. Nice route, nice place and good company. Well done Mike for tail end Charlie. If we don't see you Wednesday night, have a good weekend camping.
Thanks also to Kevin for arranging the day but unfortunately it was not to be! Hope you and Terry enjoyed Bluewater.
Thanks again Dave and H

Sorry to have missed out on the ride today, looked like fun!

Look forward to catching up with those next w/end for fun & stupidity :thumb2

Ignominy indeed.........

....Checked the bike over on Friday and wheeled it out Saturday morning to find the back tyre as flat as a flat can be with a nice rusty screw showing me where all the air had been let out - or so I thought:rolleyes: Plug installed but still leaking air so that was that.

Went to the start point in my works van and explained it all to the assorted group and JoeC saved the day and lead them away enjoy to make something of the day after my mishap:thumb:thumb.

I was absolutely gutted.

Compromise time- went shopping with Terry to Bluewater as a diversion:augie

Back home and checked the tyre again and found a second hole - made by a sliver of flint:blast.

Another plug and off to Sidcup Tyres for a set of Bridgestone Battlewings which I am going to scrub off a bit this morning.

Sorry about yesterday and thanks to Joe again. Piccie looks fantastic - at least you all enjoyed the weather I had booked:augie:augie:augie

The next possible re-run? I haven't got a weekend free until 24 October so if you're free then??????? I'll post separately.

Now lets see - what are these Bridgestones like?????????????????????

Well, we got to Birling Gap in the end. Would have got there sooner if it wasn't for the satnav technical problem:augie
Nice to have seen some new faces except I cannot remember who they are:blast

Who was there.......

On the 1200GSA'a there were MGJ (Mike), Beemerjon (Jon), Revinslevin (Dave & Helen)

On the 1150GSA ws GSA1150(Eric)

On the 800GS was ChrisLJ (Chris)

On the venerable Blue & Whites there was one I can't remember:augie:augie(sorry), yourself and it was Peter Harris who shot off and did his own thing

I had a good ride out today and found some great roads to include in a route so watch this space.......

Me on my blue and white 1150
Look forward to exploring Kent on your next run if I am not working :D
Darren

Will do my best to get out on the ride out's when I can - Saturdays between Sept & April are tough due to my playing rugby; however, if there is the odd Sunday run....tres happy days :thumb2
