Saving a Notepad Document - Help

I've created a Notepad document by copying the original Word document onto a new Notepad document and making some additions.

When I try to save it in *.txt nothing happens. It does not save.

What am I doing wrong?

Replace the * with a word ?

Text.txt for example ?
