Saving/Reading Waypoints to/from CF Card

Is it possible to save waypoints to the CF card (from the PC) and retrieve them (onto the GPSR)?

I ask because there are many waypoints I would like to have available, but uploading them all to the GPSR means a very long list from which to choose. I want to keep them in folders on the CF card...

As an example, I am taking part in the Round Britain Rally this year. There are 89 waypoints to visit in 6 months. If I don't have them all loaded I might miss the one I need.

Anyone know if this is possible? I have tried searching the forum but there are too many instances of the word "waypoint" to make it remotely easy

As far as I'm aware, the waypoints can only be saved to the GPS. The card only holds the maps..... I may be wrong but that my understanding.

I think you are right. I thought I had read differently in a thread on here but couldn't find it.
