If you are going to use Kurviger, its algorithm can sometimes put in a deviation off a ‘sensible’ twisty route, just for the sake of it.

Zoom in a bit and correct any obvious and needless deviations.

I think, though I have never tried, you can then run the Kurviger route through a Kurviger ‘navigation’ app on a phone. Or, as it will export a GPX file, run the route through any other suitable app or device.

I’m just using it on my iPhone on a cradle on the bars. I used the free scenic and it brought me home in a convoluted way . Nothing really planned about it. I just like going on new roads and it does that well.

This is most odd! Kurvidger. It's being a tinky winky! I've the app on my phone and it just refuses to work in any other language than German! I've logged in on the laptop and set my preferences - same in the iPhone settings! Now, it's not really a problem, I can figure out what I need to but I might need to send an email to them. Anyway, off out again today. Nice to be back on the bike and have my abs back new rubber etc. Weather is pleasant today as well.

   • Scroll all the way down to your app list and tap on Kurviger.
   • Tap Preferred Language (or Sprache).
   • Switch it to English.
   • If English isn't an option, go back to the main Settings menu → General → Language & Region and make sure English is added to your preferred languages list.

Tap away, you (probably) can’t break it.
