Anyone else having battery issues? I’ve had this helmet/comms combo for a few months now and I have to charge it before I go out otherwise it can be completely flat if not used for a while, even though it was definitely switched off.
I’ve had it on for several (5-7) hours whilst out on the bike and hasn’t gone flat, if charged beforehand but it then takes quite awhile to recharge.
I’m wondering if the battery in the main part is replaceable.

I have the same comms in the same lid. Battery will last me a day and a half. It doesn’t run down when switched off.

Only issue I had this year was that I thought I had an issue but it was the remote battery that needed replacing.

I have this unit in my E2.

The battery does seem to hold charge better if it's been on a slower charger.... If I've charged it with my fast phone charger it doesn't seem to last as long.

No issues with mine 18 months in. It still has all day+ battery life.

I have left my lid/headset dormant the past 6 weeks (and fully charged it before), a quick check shows it's still at 91% battery life.

Mine can go from fully charged to completely flat just sat switched off for a week or two.
Is the battery in the main bit replaceable? I’ve replaced the remote one.

They have a 2 year warranty - probably worth contacting them if it seems to be down on battery life.

Is your firmware up to date?

I updated the firmware when I got it a few months ago but will check it again. I don’t know how old it is because I bought it used and the Sena/Schuberth site asks where and when it was bought new.

I'm not sure about quality! But, found this on eBay which is similar in power, size and connector (i am assuming it's the JST 3 pin 1mm plug;

Beneath the yellow covering on the battery, is there a manufacturers name?

Thanks, I’ve ordered a couple of those as they look the same, the specs are the same and as far as I know the SC2 is based on the Sena 50. Just hope the size is right at 50x20x10mm.
I think it’s ridiculous that Sena or Schuberth don’t sell them, unless I’ve completely missed something.

The code on your battery '102050' are the dimensions.

Usually they (Sena) won't sell them separately as the battery MFR doesn't sell laminated LiPo out of an OEM design (even for spares). This is true for battery manufacturers such as Murata & Panasonic, and probably for others too.

I have the exact same issue, ever since I bought it. Hoped it would be fixed with a firmware update because I pre-ordered it when it just came out and I figured it might be a bug somehow. Have been pushing Schuberth for a fix and they told me I can send in the unit to them without going through the dealer. It is out of support right now and they seem to be unable or unwilling to tell me how much it will cost.

Were you able to get it fixed yourself?

Also, I removed the SC2 from my helmet two weeks ago and today I connected it to upgrade the firmware to the new 1.4 version. After connecting it to my laptop and upgrading the firmware i connected it to my phone. The battery was charged for 56% which seems to be high if it was completely depleted. Now I am wondering if it only drains when it is connected. Charged it to 100% and will be keeping an eye on it the next couple of days...

Mine died completely a short while ago, I think because I was using a 5V 3 Amp charger instead of a 1 Amp, anyway it’s dead, it may have died anyway. Whilst researching the issue I did come across a post somewhere of someone who’d sent theirs back, out of warranty and received a later version free (SP127) that resolved the issues. (SP101 like mine was sent back)
I’ve given up trying to find a replacement battery and ordered the SC Edge Cardo version from The Visor Shop, they’re the cheapest.
Hopefully it’ll be better than the SC2, and I’ll be using a 1 Amp charger as stated in the instructions.

It fits very snug in the compartment, I did consider extending the wires and having a larger battery in the lining of the helmet.
Good idea. If you do it, I’d appreciate it if you could share a photos. Years ago I did it in C3, but there was plenty of space in the collar. The fact that it had a zipper was a big advantage—it allowed for a very clean installation without any cutting or trimming.
