Scorpion trail 2

Bloody hell! Can you not order from openeo and fit them yourself, that’s what I do.

I know......

We are in a different market over here but I would have expected Pirelli to be cheaper than Michelin and I don't particularly want the Michelin anyway.

Would love to try the Conti TA3 but they are really difficult to get over here.

Try a KTM or Ducati dealer as they were OE for the 1290 and MTS.
How about The Angel gt2 another cracking tyre.

Over here......dealers aren't really the place to get tyres.........unless you enjoy being raped!!

I paid 275 Euros fitted in Spain last year. I have done just under 5000 miles, and there is still about 2000 miles left on them.

Stick - PST2 or CTA3 are both very good...Too me they feel the same while the TA3 might be a hair quicker steering...The RA3 might be even better if you go on a trackday because they can take a little more heat than either before they get too hot...Otherwise I would recommend any of the 3 mentioned above.Even mileage are pretty much the same the TA3 lasting the longest and then PST2 and CRA3 all within 1000 miles of wear...What I will say though is that the PST2 lasted 3000 miles longer on the 1200 than on the 1250...so much for TORQUE...:thumby:
Hope they will make the new M9 Sportec for the GS...
Or we have to wait for the M1300GS...:thumb

Any of ye lads had the Dunlop Roadsmart III on a big adventure bike???

Thinking of a set for my Crosstourer.

The Roadsmart 3 are nothing better than the 3 tires mentioned above but wear out quicker...The Sportsmart TT I hear are available in GS sizes though...probably the sportiest rubber if you are fast and plan to grind down your pegs on the track...;)

I've the older GS sizes on my Crosstourer which kinda limits you from the more sporty tyres.
110/80 R19
150/70 R17

Faster, more recent rubber is generally not produced in those sizes.

younger06...For these aircooled GS tire sizes you mentioned the Conti RoadAttack3 are probably the sportiest tires available !

I'll give them a try next.
The Dunlop RSIII are ordered.

Continental are hard to get in Eire

A friend of mine had a set of Roadsmarts3 on his 1250GS...he told me they gave him 1500 miles less than the CRA3...

Feeling very good on my Tiger Explorer. Have to wait and see how long they last.

Nobody stocks them anymore in Ireland.
(continental)

Must be some sort of a pricing issue with the importer/distributor.

Pirelli’s Scorpion Trail 2 ordered from “OPONEO” today on it’s way now. £195.00 the set,

That’s how I buy mine, I’m now using the full scorpion rally which is great off road, and not as bad as you think on road. My road tyre is still the STR which gives me a light off road option and nigh on as good as the trail II on the road
