I have to agree with HRH. Organising an event is anything but rocket science, trust me. If HRH can do it and I can do it, then anyone can.

Try your hand at organising something it's not as hard as folk make out.

I'm more concerned about my biking experience rather than the organisational side o things. I'm sure that there are a hell of a lot more riders out there with a lot more knowledge than me at picking a waypoint where you can take a quality pic of yer bike etc along an enjoyable road ?

I'd be willing to put everyones suggestions together on a map with a list of, lets say, 20 waypoints all over Scotland if nobody else fancys a crack at it???

Once he has 20 he can compile the rally run

OK Dave here's your first waypoint. The Spirit of Scotland Monument at Loudoun Hill, Darvel.

Sir William Wallace defeated an English force at Loudoun Hill in 1296 and King Robert the Bruce inflicted greater punishment on the English in 1307. A large Conventicle (outdoor religious service) held in the vicinity in 1679 led on to the humiliation of Claverhouse by the covenanters at the battle of Drumclog.

While here you could visit the Drumclog monument which isn't too far away, you could also visit Loudoun Kirk where Thomas Fleming lies buried. Thomas was one of the few Covenanters who fell defending his faith against government forces at Drumclog.

And if you're feeling hungry, Nings Kitchen, cafe and Thai resturaunt is on the main road through Darvel.

What you are really saying isn't anything to do with biking,
A. You don't know Scotland very well,

or
B You can't work out how to do a waypoint

or
C You want bottle fed enjoyment by others

HRH - I've been biking for a year and a half. I've been to a lot of places but but there are parts of the country I don't know.

I do know how to set a waypoint.

I don't need to be bottle fed enjoyment by others, I am happy biking away on my own, I just thought a photo rally is a good idea and I started this thread to find out if one existed.
