Complete contrast to Sunday then - when I was quite glad of being sat inside a BMW car instead of on my bike. Was proper dreich.

A wee run up to the Nevis range - what a big area that is, there was something MTB going on - it was rammed
Sun shone today as well
Then onto Loch Arkaig, what a stunning area

When the sun shines it’s great up here in Lochaber
Rain was forecast yesterday and I only had 4 raindrops on my visor
Rest of the day was warm & dry, as were the roads

Around Kinlochleven and then above Gairlochy, before dropping into Parc Ferme in FW to see the riders coming in

Dougie Lampkin had 14.10mins of service time
In the time he changed a rear tyre,new brake pads & added a new chain, changed his engine oil and blew down his bike, with the airline and re-lubed everything on his bike - like poetry in motion

Me ….I would take 14 mins to decide which tools I needed !!

17 year old Harry Hemingway riding on L plates, in the top 10 and a future British world champion in the making

2 old masters of Trial - John Lampkin (the UK Beta importer) and Spanish past ace Jaime Subira, talking trials and they both rode for the factory Fantic team in the 1980’s

Spain’s Jaime Subira - a top trial rider in the 1980’s and a World Championship contender, riding his 40 year old Fantic 250 in the Trial & he’s approaching 70, all credit to him and he’s riding alongside his 2 sons on similar Fantics

Next two are what the sections look like, there some big rocks in there & second pic, the climb was 1:3, at least

Pics of the same Yamaha I have, only 30 years old & these two are still competing in the Trial

The scenery pics don’t do it justice-the area is sublime for views on a sunny day
