That Hein Gericke sticker isnt kidding anyone. They went bust dont you know.
My cases suffered more from salt rash than bumps but I was using them every week for 2 nights away and lots of stuff to carry. I was glad to stop using them - filtering and fuel consumption both affected.

These panniers look well fit for any dealings with an ould privet hedge
Once I set off without locking the right pannier to the frame and it fell miserably. I hope it doesn't happen on the WC, the should add a pannier alarm at least!

I sometimes put on my panniers to go to the supermarket. This is so I can carry my shopping home. In fact one of the reasons I bought the panniers was so i could use them to carry things.

This morning I took mine down a back lane that got ever more narrow and muddy. Anyone with half a brain and road tyres like mine would have turned around. But I'm hard (or something).
Of course I ended up with front wheel on one side of a mud pile and back on the other side.
Hein Gericke elbow armour works quite well but hurts your ribs when you fall on it. At least I wasn't carrying the panniers. :-(

Depends how much youre spending, if its an old shitter agreed you wouldnt particularly give a monkeys, but if youve just shelled out 10 big ones wouldnt you be a little miffed. The first cut is the deepest dontch know.
Anyway, why is it any different to scratching a new car........also ones pride and joy.

Soft alloy cases WILL get scratched probably more easily than the painted steel of a car body.
At least I wasn't running with empty cases. You bet I'm miffed but bikes are vulnerable. Sh1t happens.

If you're going to cry like a baby if your ten grand bike's pannier box gets a scratch then don't buy a 10 grand bike, get an old shitter instead. Simples.
