Is there someone out there who could make these little things . This little thing helped me sort out the very slight leak on my 1500 Wing fork seal . It's only a very thin plastic . It's the curve that does the job .

35mm camera film worked. Not as easy to find now and an Sd card doesn't work so well ;)

You can buy them on ebay, a bit pricey at a fiver for what they are but if it saves you changing fork seals just once then it has paid you back.

Og, a CC is too thick to slide inbetween the fork leg and the seal.
True. If i'd put more thought into it ... :blast

O.K. then :green gri

~ various grades of plastics;
2lt cola bottle
washing up liquid bottle
5lt oil container
£1 shop washing up bowl

you get the idea.
Tip;
to remove the sometimes sharp edge from cut plastic 'flame polish' it.
i.e; run a naked flame, preferably at relatively low temperature* over the cut edge.
Obviously there's a fine line between softening and rounding the edge and burning / melting the fecker. :rolleyes:
This is enough to blunten the edges and reduce the chances of cutting into the seal you're trying to salvage.
You can also wet your fingers and run them over the edge to smooth ... if you're quick enough and dont mind burnt finger tips. :eek:

* since i dont make plastic photo frames anymore i dont have a mini blow torch. I use a cheap lighter and dont mind burning my fingers :P

Just thought - over the years i've made up allsorts of stuff with a hot air gun, a lighter, a fret saw and scrap plastic! :pullface
