Seat comfort. My ass hurts

'Thermarest camp seat' pad works well for me. self inflating foam pad - good size to fit and dont look silly. - with a bit of rubber non slip mesh stuff under and strapped on, it doesnt move about. Got mine £15 taunton leisure - set pressure so you can only just feel seat under but still get support - seat on bike at lowest setting (1150) i'm 6ft 13 st just did a weekender to scotland and back 800miles and well comfy. not much to lose at £15 to try it ?:nenau

Bought a sargeant seat. No real diference for me :nenau.

Just bought an airhawk. I'll let you know if any good when I get back from CH
Not bothered by the look, just throw it in the top box when i stop..

recommend you try a sargent before shelling out your dosh..

cheers

i just did a 1246 mile trip around brittany on the regular GS seat and my arse had a hard time!!! i now have the sargent seats on (which were ordered before the trip , but a shite 10 day delivery from Nippy Normans meant riding without) and they are so much better, yes they are expensive but after 500 miles or so i would have paid the price twice over for the comfort :D

get one try it , if it doesnt work for you , sell it.

cheers

Cheap solution...Putnams Stadium Seat

I used one of these last year, did 5000+ miles in 3 weeks on my 2006 GS.
Buy one of these, remove the white plastic clips, tie it onto your bike with some elastic cord and away you go. Not the prettiest of solutions but cheap as chips compared to a custom seat you might not like either.
I found it the most comfortable/stable at 50% inflation.
You will eventually wear a hole in it though so take a spare.....mine went at about 3500 miles.

I just did 2400 miles in 7 days on my reshaped/gel insert seat done at Viking Vinyl for £95, looks stock but feels much better.

Day one was a little uncomfortable at 460 miles (getting used to spending time on the saddle) but the rest of the trip was fine.
