Seats (again)

Anyone exploring the various seats on offer may be interested in the Wunderlich Aktiv Comfort seat. I bought one a year or so back and initially found it good but reverted back to the standard seat again which allows me to flat foot the RS, despite it being the "high" version on the SE Sport. I switched back recently after a few long days in the saddle as there came a point several hours in where I started fidgeting to stay confortable and it became a distraction to riding. I've shed a lot of weight in the past year and now reverted back to the Aktiv Comfort seat and it's been a revelation (again). Perhaps it's the weight loss but I now find it way more comfy over longer rides despite now having to sacrifice the flat footing unless I slide forward and I'd say overall, this seat is a big improvement for me. More supportive, less squishy and no compromise in leg room. Highly recommended.

I’m average height. 5’8” in my boots. My custom suspension included a 10mm rear lift.

But I love the highest Sport seat with a Cool Cover plus slightly lower MV pegs to give me an all day comfy ride. Standard bars.

Some folk are fixated with “flat footing both feet”, but you only need one foot firmly on the ground.

Same height as me. Flat footing isn't essential of course but it is desirable. I can ride for hours now without the cool cover fitted but might fit one simply as if it rains, I'll not be sat in a puddle of water.

Solved many issues. I also have the Sport seat. Done 400m in one go no problem.

They're great boots. tried a pair on at my local J&S but too spendy unless on sale. One of the few that fit wider feet fine too. I use the RST adventure style boots which are good for the money but not up to the Daytona standard and have let water through a few times.

I’ve had a pair of those Daytonas for at least 15 years, I wear them on the bike all the time and do roughly 3000 miles a year , they still polish up well with minimal wear on the soles or anywhere else for that mater and have never leaked.
They may not be very stylish and don’t have any sliders so for the day-glo super bike grandads better give them a miss, but for everyone else they are expensive but they will out last most of us.
