Anyone removed/changed the secondary butterflies on their 990 Adv? Does it make any difference?

I was also thinking K&N Air Filter, worth it? I have FMF pipes, will it need a map if I put the K&N in?

Cheers.

Only if all you want to do is save a bit of money on air filter changes over the next few years and a fair few miles. Apart from that, all you'll do is perhaps gain a bit of airbox noise when cracking the throttle, possibly upset the fuelling and definitely compromise the filtration in comparison with the OEM filter.

Second that with the air filter....

K and n

I fitted a k and n with standard end cans.

Engine did feel i bit perkier, though i might have imagined it due to increased induction noise
