Self Synching injectors

In the process of expanding my repertoire of self service procedures I have decided that I should get a gauge and synch my own injectors.
Two questions to those that do:
1. Which is the best gauge to get?
2. Which body do you adjust, the higher one or the lower one?

Thanks

Stephen

The link above has some usefull guidance on Injector balancing

I've just started using the Twin Max it's really easy to use with instructions provided and very very acurate compare to my old Dial type gauges.

Purchased it direct from

http://www.calamander.co.uk/twinmax/twinmaxmk2.htm

other suppliers were selling an older version

Good Luck

Graham

You can try Calamander, but you'd be better off going to the UK distributor, JH Motorcycles - I waited a month for my TwinMax from Calamander and had to phone again and again. Not once did they call back.

After buying it from them and opening the package I was curious to know who made them, and found out it's a french company called Selectronic.

This company lists JH Motorcycles as the distributor in the UK and I spoke with the owner of JH who seems a very affable chap. So in the light of my experience, I'd much rather have my Twinmax from him.

The world needs more affable and less arrogant.

Actually it was Calamander that was selling MkII's for quite a while after the MKIII came out.

BTW, you mention other suppliers; who are they?

Got a Problem have we ?

Blimey lets Assassinate Calamander

I found them usefull and fiendly and received my TM next day

Bla Bla Bla

Just buy one they work;)

I bought mine from Calamander as they spoke English (I don't speak French) and was amazed at how friendly they were.

It took about 1 week via airmail from the UK which is extremely good.

I use an ancient set of Morgan Carbtune mercury gauges, because
a. they work, and
b. they were already in my garage.

Works for me, and OK to 2-3mm Hg, with dampers in line.

Slight downside - you can't see the balance on the move under load, but then you can't adjust the settings on the move either.

And no, I don't wish to hear from any loonies who DO adjust the injectors on the move, thank you:D
