Semi-direct route south to BCN

I'm an idiot, I meant Reims. Not Rouen! :D
Rouen is on the other side. I always confuse the two. :D

Anyway, the useless factoid is: for years going around Reims (on my regular route to Italy) took quite some time, but it is way smoother nowadays.

I’ve done this route with @Skid06 and @Stevie4scoops last year, which was nice enough.
You can always manipulate it to your own liking.

Rouen, heading to Le Mans is now ‘Tres fluid’ as the French say, all since the major bridge and road works were completed. I have done it three times since in a motorhome, with no problems at all.

I stand corrected on Rouen's traffic problems! We got stuck for a few years in a row, total gridlock on the motorways and main roads, in car and on bike. So, as Wessie suggests, we've avoided it since so haven't seen the improvements.

I'd still take the detour if time allowed because it's a break from the motorway and the scenery and roads are good. There's a very solid little restaurant in Lyon-La-Foret (in fact there are several around the little square but Cafe du Commerce is reliable for a light lunch rather than full-on lunch). And Les Andelys is a busy little town too.
