Serious design and security fault

... This has proved a most enlightening thread for those of us concerned to maintain the security of our wheels whilst perambulating Tesceaux.

... Could we perhaps also turn our attention to the valves. As a prior contributor has helpfully illustrated, if the valves are not properly secure the cylinders can leak away

You are blithering idiot Mr bede. This thread is about motorcycles, specifically wheels, and not about wireless's. Kindly allow us to get back on topic!!!!!

PS, regards to Francesca.

This is so exciting, I will come back with a list of real questions later, before I depart in the summer 2011. Crikey, summer 2011, I can hardly wait, will it be hot do you think?
Are you going to start one of those Wales 2011 Lets Do it Threads ?

MMMnnnn

Is this thread for real???? If it is,get a life....if it is not and its meant to be a joke then the thing about a joke is you are meant to leave the funny bit in!!!

look there is only one solution to this problem, its all well and good carrying bricks but how many should we carry? i would think two should do it. put one under each wleel so that there is pressure on the tyres then use your phone to bluethooth the tyre pressure monitors job done. so now when you are standing in the que at tesco wondering when the check out yill allow you out, your phone starts beeping at least you have a time refrence

Hardly sporting, is it?

I mean it's not like they run away or anything...

Indeed you are right. I am worrying needlessly.

It just goes to show what a great site this really is :comfort .

Thank you for helping. :thumb2

This thread has only added to my many, up to now, secret worries about GSing in general.

I'm going to come out as it were, and confess that I DON'T have a Leatherman gadget, a bar mounted Mobile phone nor Ipod, inner bags for panniers, any Touratech gizmo at all, any camping tackle or stove, a Twat Suit,a super soft saddle, anyone to lead me on ride-outs let alone a pre-planned drop-off system, the list is probably endless.

Sorry Wapping about the slight change of direction from the original Thread, but your brave post gave me the courage to get this off my chest.

Is there something wrong with me? I somehow think I don't fit in.

Ah harry, none of us were afflicted with the trappings of Tosserdom before we registered here....

.....it just seems to creep up on you :rob

PS: Which drop-off system do you prefer? 2nd man stop with a permanent tail end Charlie or the simpler stop at the turn-off 'til the next bike catches up?
Both have their merit and few will publicly admit to knowing neither...

How do you feel about gated roads? Should the same person open and close the gate? If not who should?

Ah well - Sun is over the yard-arm.

lol yeah,
I’d like to add a little note to this ( not sure if this is for real but.. anyway ).
As you know the central stand is good for:
-‘longer’ parking option, it saves shock ( over winter for an instance )
- changing rear wheel when flat tire
- checking tire ect.

I can not see this as a technical fault really, a mentioned above use the side stand that should do… and/or use XENA disk lock with the alarm feature on it. I can not see someone detaching your rear wheel with the alarm set off..

Well, Hairy and Mr Kay,

I think you have both just solved my problem for me. No more worries over bricks, starry bolts and wheels going missing in the dead of night.

I realise now that everyone of us is different. But, in our own little ways, very similar, all searching for something to hang our hats on. For me it's bricks and will probably always be so.

But, hey, the sun might yet come out. Even if it doesn't, I know that I am now a real biker - which brings its own special glow - and I know I can always come back here for more help should I ever lose my way again. I even feel as if I may have given some help myself, to Mr Osmosis; wouldn't that be great?

Thank you all, every one of you, so much for your help. Yes, even those who didn't quite see the whole picture, you too.... For sure, we are all w'anchors in this great club.

I love you all.

Thanks for listening.... now, just where did that starry bolt key go?
