The service indicator on my 2017 Scrambler is showing service due soon. I’ve hardly done any miles in the last year ( I have other bikes) can I ignore the warning display and wait until I’ve racked up a few more miles?

You can do whatever you like. There is no law against it.

Ignore it or not, it’s entirely up to you and marks you out as a rugged, independent, bikermate of the first order.

I was more concerned it would go into some sort of limp mode. Clearly getting too sensitive in my old age.

Mine shows the service indicator and not an issue. I have serviced it but my GS911 does not have the right 16 pin OBD plug, just got an adaptor and reset the indicator with no fault codes evident.

It's set to go off every 12 months from the last reset regardless of miles. This is referred to as progress I think

I’ve had the service light on for 4 1/2 years now, I’ll get round to turning off soon….
