Hi

Picking up my new late '05 1150 GSA tomorrow and just wondered about service intervals. Was serviced Oct '06 at 6K and just had annual service today with just over 9k on the clock. From this point I was guessing I go with 6 months or 6k interim services and 12months or 12k major service?

Thanks :thumb2

Due service every 6000 miles and every year. So if you do 3000 miles a year, 2 annual services and 1 x 6k service every 2 years. Or 12000 miles per year = 2 x 6k services and one annual.

6k and annual have similar items in each, but they aren't the same IYSWIM

I may be being dim (nothing new there, then), but if I do 12k per year, could I not have 1 x 6k service and 1 x annual service (with any additional bits from the 6k done at the same time)? :nenau

Seems a bit excessive to me, I would have thought a service every year or at 6000 miles (whichever comes first) would be adequate. Maybe drop the oil at 3000 or 6 months if you feel so inclined.

I do more than 6000 a year, so I would be having an annual service as well as 2 or more 6000 services all in the space of a year.... sounds expensive.

When I collected mine a mth ago they told me every 6k or yearly, whichever came first, so it will be yearly for me as very unlikely I would do 6k miles in a yr :)

There are some procedures that do not require attention at the mileage limits, but should be done on a yearly basis. That is the brake and clutch fluids and if you want to keep the brakes in tip top working order this does make a difference as the fluid soaks up water over time.

If you do less than 6000 miles per year you only have to do the full annual along with the rest of it.
