Shaft problem ?

Hi all, just had a quick check over my bike (850GS) and noticed that when on the centre stand im getting side to side movement at the rear end of the shaft. When im riding i havent noticed any movement or strange noises and when the bike is of the stand there is no movement. Is this normall or am i facing a heafty repair bill ?

seems as if it the Paralever bearings to me. Not a bank breaker.

Thanks for the info, doesnt sound to bad and hopefully it will be ok for a little while until i decide to replace them along with 100 other bits and pieces.

If you have play here get it fixed pronto if it's bab enough to shpw up as you describe you will soon damage the bearings and cause expensive damage so do it now.
