Hello all. New here, just googled you up the other night.

I am a 30something with more than 2 decades behind handlebars, on my 3rd GS. Had a 100PD, 1100 and now a 1200GS. Loved em all. Put 160,000km on the PD, 150,000on the 11 and currently at 28k on the 12.

I went away the other week into the Victorian high country and on day two my power sockets started to fail. They would cause the circuit breaker to trip, then reset, trip and so on. Checked for dead shorts, stripped wires etc with nothing nasty to be found. They will sometimes be good and at others fail.
Any ideas?

1) What, if anything do you have plugged into the sockets?

2) It's a known fault for which there is a software update available from your local friendly BMW dealer......

I plugged my intercom (1amp) and a charger for my mp3 player (2amps). So i have not gone over 5amps in total for the 2 sockets.
Thanks, i think i will go visit my friendly dealer.
