Luggage Deal.
Just picked up my second hand GS08 from Ocean in Plymouth.He did me a full vario luggage set brand spankers for £350.....!!! not bad eah.oh plus back rest as well.....
Thanks for the heads up. Pitty that the offer doesn't include sat nav & top box for the GSA as well? I told the salesman here in Plymouth that I would be interested if I had £600 deposit paid and free 1st service. He thought about it for a second and agreed. I'm now waiting to see if I am approved for finance, though I have not signed anything yet it is only an enquiry!
I enquired about the Akrapovic sport tail pipe for the GSA and I was shown one though I've not heard it. Any good? It was much lighter but costs £517.
I also enquired about the paniers and top box. Paniers were £728 and top box was £386 = expensive for something I don't want on the bike all the time but handy though ugly! The GSAs in stock do not have the factory fit alarm - do I really need it?
I think I would get it in red cause the silver is matt finish only!

Ah Yes that must have been the red/white 08 GSA right? I saw that there, That was a demo bike and I took that out for my first GSA test ride. Who did you deal with Ian??

The bike I purchased was an 08 Titan silver GS. Yeah it was Ian Chaplin(i think!!)who I dealt with.
Just in the middle of making up my gps lead to use in conjunction with the front socket!!!

Front socket?? They don't have them on the new ones! They are an add on. It must have been Ian Webber!

The front socket on 08 models is taped the the loom under the beak. it has a black cap over it to protect it. You have to look hard for it. You can then power gps via canbus to this socket. there are loads of threads on here to tell you how to do this
