Show us yer Triple Black GSA!!!

Sorry but I just don't get this. And I'm not saying your wrong. I put 18000 miles on 16 model year triple black gs and I'm now riding 17 model year triple black gsa - is there any mid range power difference ? Absolutely no. Gearbox seems slightly better but engine just the same.

I would also agree with K1300. I am still running in my brand new TB adventure (so up to 5k revs ish) and I cannot pinpoint any significant power advantages to my last boxer experience which was a 2005 hex GS at the bottom half of the rev range. I can only assume and hope that 20 horses are hiding somewhere at the top of the rev range.
The only significant and and huge advantage is that the new machine has zero clunkiness and other drivetrain slack. It feels more solid and together.

To be fair, I am coming from a K16, and judging by his alias K1300 is also from a much faster/different kind of bike. So power talk is missing the point on the GS. The point is that me on the GS can ride rings around... me on a K16. It's a confidence, balance game.

The current GSA engine performs differently to the previous versions, as it wants to be revved more. Open it up, you won't do it any harm. The 5k running in guide is just that, a guide.

Just picked up my painted rear carrier. Looks as it should now.:beerjug:

Now waiting for my pillion hangers & heatshield to come back from the powder coater next week.

Nutty, how much have you spent to correct what BMW should have done in the first place ?
I see why it's called the Triple Black-three items are painted black and the rest are a mixture of greys/silver etc !!

So that just leaves the engine/crash bars, headlight shroud thingy and fork bottoms.

About £140, so nothing worth getting excited about.

It's called triple black because of exactly that; three shades of black. Took you a while to work it out.;)

Why? It would look daft if everything was black.:rob

But it wouldn't be everything because BMW have seen fit to make the tank shrouds mainly grey !!!

Have had my Triple Black which I bought from Lloyd Motorrad in Carlisle back in June to replace my written off Triumph Explorer:toungincheek damn that diesel.

Well the diesel was kind of a blessing in disguise as I have ended up with a much better bike, it is so much better quality than the TEX.
