Show us your Classic M/C

............... Anyway, to cut a short story shorter, the bike got nowhere reserve during bidding and whilst chatting to the seller afterwards, I made a cheeky-ish offer which he slept on and then accepted. I will sell a couple of bikes I rarely ride in the spring to cover it.
............

That is beautiful, nice find!

You now own three of the most desirable bikes in the Outtomunch 'Desirable Bike Book'; Sunbeam, Nimbus and now this :drool

Erling Poppe's S7 design must have raised a few eyebrows when it was launched after the war. A real gentleman's tourer. This one was rebuilt about 20 years ago and hasn't been used much so a few gently runs are the order of the day to start with. The engine and gearbox will benefit from a polish as well.

That is bloody lovely - how much do they sell for these days? :thumb

Yes, all mine and an iron head sportster which needs some fettling. I am very fortunate.

The shovel I have had for over twenty years and at one time was my only vehicle, it has done over 200k miles.

The Indian was bought last April, in boxes, after a three year search and was completed in November of the same year. We have done about 5000
miles on it since.

The other two belonged to my mate who lost his life on the way to a rally in Cornwall in 2010 and I bought them from his sister.

The sportster is standard which is quite unusual, just not running properly as it has stood for about ten years.

The pan was a bad Captain America copy, but its getting a bit more like it now. It is a 1950 EL engine with a later 4 speed gearbox in a shovel frame with a welded on hard tail.... a proper dogs breakfast really but fast!

Some budget 'classics' 1960 Royal Enfield Prince and 1961 Fanny Barnett Plover. There are still a few bikes available to show and rally for a few hundred pounds :)

Dont know if this still applys but was once told , dont take a LE on without joining the velo LE club as it requires numerous special tools for working on it.

Last one i saw was awsome, lived up to the name whispering bike , it was all but silent

Finally got round to taking some photo's with the new pipes and silencers fitted.

Had a lovely (cold) ride on it today. :thumb2

Now I must get round to building the other one. :blast
