SIDI Adventure Boots - have I made a gaff?

Well I picked mine up this morning and suprised how actually soft and comfortble they actually are straight from the box.

Im going out for a ride shortly so will know better after that.

I fully agree.... in fact my first pair I bought in February... I actually wore them home to SA... on the Aircraft (well they were off for a bit) however sat around Gatwick with them on for 3 hours, Dubai for 6 hours and found them totally comfy.

Just bought a second pair from OldRascal in August and wore them back to SA as well... no problem! :thumb2

Well I whent for a ride and not too bad, not as much feel as my old Sidi Vertebra's but not as bad as my Moto X boots where, just need to get the gear change lever set right I think.

Then got home and took dog a walk in them, real comfortable, we off into town tonight for a few drinks, tempted to wear them tonight also but dont think I will get away with that!

Stay with it, they'll soften with wear as you break down the leather fibres through flexing them. All military personnel go through the same initial torture when they get kitted out with new boots as new recruits (myself included).

I bought a pair of Hein Gericke rallye TRG boots because they were the same as the Bmw andd Oxtar ones (same Italian factory but cheaper), and like you I felt like I had made a huge mistake. Once broken in they became like a second skin, I am now dreading the day that they need replacing with something new, they just seem to get better with wear. Keep them fed with a leather proofer/feed and they'll last for years.

I hope you and the new boots grow into each other.:thumb2
