I am picking up my new GSA in a week or or two and not had a BM since an 1150 GS many moons ago

1st Question

If i buy an optimate 4 due to a tracker being fitted and connect direct to the battery do i need to place the charger is can bus mode.

2nd

Taller screen, i would like a taller screen but see posts about supports not fitting etc, what screen would you recommend.

3rd

Does anyone use the ceramic coating, is it any good, does it stop it rusting as soon as it sees daylight or just good for paintwork .

1) Just hard wire the Optimate lead straight into the battery

2) I'm too short to need a taller than stock screen

3) If it rusts BMW will give you a new bike - I read it on here

Buy the BMW charger plugs straight into the dash socket, excellent never need to bother with wiring or connecting....

If you need a taller screen, Puig with top section, add Cymarc strengthening job sorted

As previous if it rusts in three years take it back .....

If in canbus mode you can use pigtail or canbus plug, if not in canbus mode only can use pigtail.

And for screens etc the world is your oyster!! This is my brothers 2020 GSA with a Puig screen and Cymarc brackets.

A good dose of ACF50 should eliminate the need for ceramic coating.
