right folks i can manage a skive off for a week in may + the weekends at either end . I want a wee bit jaunt abroad (dinna feel like i have had a bike hol unless ye paraffin poney has had bit canter on the right side of the road) Any GOOD suggestions (Mibbies i should type in timmys at this point)

Even wetter than here!!!!!!! wul mind u with the modern weather forcasting i am ,(we are )booking nothing at all n we will just wing it.( My favorite way of touring) if it was to look settled that would be good wi the economy being a bit doon i micht get good hotels for a reaasonable price (ma pal dosney dae camping)

Wot about the Lake District/Pennines/Yorksher Dales?

No massive leg involved to get there, shedloads of interesting roads and stuff to do and plenty of accom.

And proper beer - none of that Tennants pish.

eh oop lad its getting affy busy doon there !!!!!! we have folks that we visit regular like in the lake district n ye can hardly find somewhere tae park!! mind you its a bonnie place when the weather is nice .
