I had Tourance's on my R100GS and whilst they lasted for the best part of 9k miles I didn't think the grip was as good as the Anakee's on the 12, particularly in the wet.
I agree with the guys above, with all the crap on the roads at the moment the best tyre in the world will not give a great level of grip. The best thing is to relax and ride smoothly.
