All joking apart, I’m happy to run the kettle, cook bacon or whatever for breakfast sandwiches etc etc. If it’s not lashing down or a howling gale, most of this I can do outside. I can bring with me enough bread, bacon, butter, sausages, red and brown sauces, milk, sugar, tea and coffee for us all, I’m sure. Just let me know the numbers, please. Bring your own plates, mugs and favourite tea spoons.

PS Toddmeister can feck off with his demands of kedgeree and devilled kidneys.

Just Don’s sausage and some Jack Daniels is all I need for a memorable weekend!

PS: It has been known for a stray ember from the campfire to burn a motorhome into nothing more that a pile of (probably well insured) ashes! ;):D

Is someone doing a route plan too it please,as me and my bike mates haven't a clue on which way too go....😀

Subject to hall passes

Friday Sunday, GS & tent

But could be car and tent.

Ten, going on 11, with four electrical hook-up if possible

Wapping - Motorhome and hook-up (probably)
Pukmeister - T5 and hook-up (probably)
cookie (Mr & possibly Mrs) - Campervan and hook-up
NeilDD - Campervan and hook-up

The Other PaulG - Tent
Toddmeister - Tent
Bumble-Bee - Tent
Orinoco - Tent
adventuredon - Tent
Santa 25-12 - Tent

I think there was two or three other, “I’d be up for this too, chaps”?

As hook-ups are maybe in shorter supply than tent spaces, I’ll contact the site at the weekend to see if I can bag us the four, hopefully reasonably close together. Then see if we can fine tune it in say, late January or early February. If the site requires a deposit to secure the electricity, I’ll pay it but ask that the other three wedge me up for it, please.

From memory, the site is pretty much relaxed and large, so I don’t think tents will be an issue. I will though explain that we’d like the currently six tents close by the vehicles if possible.

Nice one Wapps.

Yes they are very relaxed, and in general they don’t mind where you pitch your tents. So I think once you have secured the hook ups, we can just laager the tents around that area.

I am thinking that in February it won’t be that busy 😂🥶

Confirmation of our reservation for Friday and Saturday nights. The site didn’t ask me for a deposit but it would be polite to let them have notice reasonably in advance of a cry-off.

Arrive: Friday 21 February

Depart: Sunday 23 February

I have booked that in for you, 4 hard standings with electric and 6 non electric tent pitches to be pitched close by.

If for any reason the fields are too wet for tents to be pitched we will get in touch with you with plenty of notice.

The cost for our electric pitches are as followed, £45 per night for 2 adults, £23 per night for one adult.

Non electric pitches are £18 per adult per night.

Thanks Richard, and happy to chip into a kitty in advance for any victuals, beverages etc. that folk are brining if that helps.

OK for me and the +1 to commit to attending and enduring (enjoying) the first adventure of the season?
Camping, coming on 4 wheels rather than 2 if the weather dictates.

cheers

At some point, I’d suggest around 10 February, it might be a good idea to have a simple list of who will bring what. This will maybe avoid us having 200 venison burgers and no burger buns. Or worse, 200 burger buns and no burgers.

I don’t think it needs to be a competition as to who can bring the most and guys are generally pretty generous about sharing what they have.
