Why did you part-bury yourself at night?

which part....

all of moi monsieur but at 5'6" it didn't take too long to bury!!
Tent went .....walk-abouts.......
Survival techniques came into play-
trouble was....... it also rained that night........... still, watching the sun go down, disappear then watch as the stars came out a way I had never seen them before-Simply Awesome!

So what's the thinking behind digging the hole?

Keeps you warm/cool? Stops you rolling down the dune in the night?

Snowball looking good in the green/blue.

Thinking about digging a hole....
1- main reason- to stay out of the wind (use bike as wind-block too)
(and yes, it does save you from rolling downhill too! )
2- psychological & comfort - feel safer/snug and much more comfortable than when just on the ground like this..........

so many power needs...dwindling supplies.....

Point is:
It is always good to know good and reliabler suppliers and who are happy to listen to what you need and work out a best solution-
Fran is very knowledgeable and very helpful.
