ohh i see ok , may i ask your opinion just bought a r80rt 1983 spec, noticed do upgrade kits from 800 to a 1000cc at motor works , Are they any good? may be tempted to buy your refurbish unit depends what you do and the price ? . p.s you was the chap the refurbished a gearbox for me for my bmw r850gs few years ago still not fitted it ive moved back to my roots be done this year need it ready for bmw mottoradd in garmisch next year .from Alan

I could build you a motor to whatever spec you wanted.
This g/s engine has 1000cc barrels/pistons,the matching big port heads from an RT and 40mm bings.
A 40% hike in power

Same applies to a gearbox,
I can fit low 1st and height 5th

Hello thankyou for getting back to me mike ! get me a price on a engine with 1000cc barrels 40 mm bings and and ported heads and also a high 5 th gear on my gearbox , see what happens then .!!!from Alan keep my r80rt engine as is cause i also own a r100gspd dakar., mainly for my rt bmw the engine upgrade.cheers
