Any recommendations about a more comfortable seat for an 1150GS,just done 1000+ miles in 3 days and phoar,my arse still aches!:aidan

without question Corbin.
Just did a trip to Faro in Southern Portugal, 3 days down and 3 days back with detours it was about 1400 miles each way, no problem at all, I have the big TT tank and a full tank is 450+ and that's no problem in one hit

Corbins

These take a while to bed in and can need abit of fettling to fit in the first place (what do you expect for £600 quid?) but once bedded in to your bum
they are brilliant.

Rebuilt seat with gel insert and plastic Airhawk - have done over 2000 miles in 42 hours and many 1000 mile days with this combination and no butt ache. Also look at what you are wearing - makes a big difference.

Bloody hell Shaun, I thought you fell of the face of the earth,,,
Airhawk for me too, Its like sitting on your mothers lap...

agree completely, used that combo with the standard seat and one that had been recovered and extra foamed etc, however it does not come close to the Corbin, got one on the harley and the bmw and if they did one for the ktm I would have one for that as well, before I get new panniers, extra lights, big tank anything. For a big fat fecker with a big fat arse there is nothing better !!!

the sheepskin and stadium seat was good but not as good, certainly not good enough to run my 42ltr tank from full to empty in one hit without a stop, which I can now.

Sheepskin I reckon. If you regularly do big miles your bum will just get used to the standard seat anyway though IMO.
