sore-butt

I've tried most types of seating - from gel pads through to a corbin via sheepskin etc etc on the way.

Take all the recommendations with a pinch of salt - There is no one true seat to cure your problem -it all depends on your arse, some suit a sargeant others a corbin. The worse seat was a wunderlich.

My arse suits a Corbin, i've covered one 17 hour ride to torremalinos, and a few rides from london through france and spain to morroco and back in 8 days. Thats 4500 miles. And an end to end non stop overnight. No aches and pains and felt perfectly normal at the end of each day.

But that's not to say a Corbin would suit you.

Aftermarket seats are expensive, but if you see a used one for sale buy it and try - if it's not your cup of tea you won't lose anything as it sell it for the same money you bought it for.

I paid £300 for my corbin, and it's still worth the same money 5 years later .

I've got a wunderlich (or something), which is better shaped than the standard, but rather on the solid side. Wouldn't recommend unless you get one cheap second hand (like I did).
