can someone tell me how to save the waypoints from my sp3 to the chip so i can save them to pc and then to quest please?
You can't save waypoints to the card - the card only holds the maps. All your waypoints and routes are saved in the unit. I don't know how the Quest works, but can't you download your waypoints from the SP3 to the computer (via the cable) and then transfer them from the computer to the Quest ?
Use the PC serial port connector to your SP3. Turn everything on.
Load MapSource on the PC.
Press the icon to upload from the SP3 to the PC.
You'll get a window asking what you want to upload (routes, tracks, waypoints etc). Ensure that waypoints is checked. Upload.
The waypoints will now appear on the waypoint tab on the MapSource window. If you wish to save them, create and name a file.
To download them, connect your Quest and reverse the process.
