Collected my GS from SPC today :D BRILLIANT ride back  weather was fine although started to rain as i got nearer to home in somerset. unfortunately on night shift for the next couple of days (or should that be nights!!!) so will not be out much :( will have to wait until the weekend and get some more miles under my belt. will probably go for ride out with Trippy on friday

i see SPC have a few negative posts on the forum, although i had no problems with them, i wont be going back there CW much nearer, the sales chap at SPC i dealt with, Tim, nice chap very helpful

Hope to see some of you out there, when is the next trip up to salisbury plain then?

Cheers all :D :D :D

Yes they are very good at selling bikes it's the after service that sucks,
Cw's sorted all of spc's cock ups,
That's why i purchased my new 1200 from CW's :thumb

I can't let this go unchallenged.

In my 15 month and 18,000 miles expereince with my GS, I have found SPC to be helpful, friendly (apart from sales manager Jeremy!), courteous, and willling to take the time to explain and investigate 'issues'.

spc

Yeah even though i have been there only twice i would have to agree with the above, especially the comment about the sales manager

I'm glad you have had good service unfortunatley i didn't :(

I think with all these dealer relations/service you can only go on your own personal experience and this seems to be pretty inconsistent by gser and by dealer.

As far as SPC go I can only speak in the positive. My dealings buying the bike were fine... yes, I'd have liked a better trade in but what I got was reasonable.
Servicing and loan bikes have been OK... warranty remedial work (only very minor of course because it's a 1150 :D ) have been handled well.

Have there been any issues that needed resolving - yes, but minor and they were handled by them very well.

I've been on some of their Sunday rideouts and enjoyed them...

I went on their Dolomites trip this year and that was excellent. This was led by John Gilbride who was excellent and always consistently pleasant to deal with.

Now, are there others who experience problems?... well, I'm sure there are. If you do have a problem I think a call to John would probably be useful.. maybe for you in getting a resolution and for SPC so that at least they know there is a potentially disatisfied customer.

Wise words Derek :)
Though threads like this do tend to keep the dealers on their toes,
my dealings with spc were a while back and being a naive GS owner
they basically poo poo'd any issues i had with the bike, with they all do
that sir

I couldn't agree with you more Gates... generally I think we get a fairly balanced view on these dealer related threads.... some positives and some negatives and I suspect that reflects the reality in dealing with most dealers.
