My speedo light went out a few weeks ago. Can't see anywhere on the back of the clocks that would be for bulb replacement, only three vents and wiring loom. Have had front cover off but chickened out when i had to pull off the needle! Think it might be an led. Any one out there got the know how?:nenau:beer:

get a torch if it's out of warranty as the clocks are  expensive, just changed mine and didn't see anywhere to replace the bulb, you'll have me paranoid mine is going to blow now :(

There are no bulbs. They are LEDs soldered to the primary circuit board. New clocks is the only answer. And the new clocks need to be synced with the ECU by the dealer before the bike will start/run. I know this because I had the same issue on my K1200R (same clocks).

If they are LED's and you can get the circuit board out - I should be able to find a suitable LED and solder it to the board.

From what I remember of opening up mine, you can get the outer black case separated easily enough. But to get to the actual circuit board, you have to remove the needles and clock faces. I didn't try as I was still in warranty so I don't know how easy that is to do without damaging something.
