hi need a bit of help here,i have searched for my answer but cant find it so......
my speedo is acting up and ive read you can take it off and cleaning it might work,i have a 1200 non abs 07 now my question is exact location ?
is it the little rubber looking part beside the back disc ?
if yes how do you get access to it ?
do you have to take back wheel off ?
cheers

Yes, you need to remove the wheel to allow access to the speed sensor.
Be carefully when replacing that you don't damage, trap or dislodge the O ring seal.
It should be clean and not covered in metal swarf from a possible failing final drive.

cheers i will go at it the weekend with fingers crossed theres no swarf

A small tip: The speedo sensor is retained by a small Torx screw. It is easy to chew this up. Clean out any grit and dirt first before using a Torx bit on it. It is also easy to use a slightly undersized Torx bit without realising, which also increases the risk of chewing up the screw head. Keep testing the fit of your small Torx bits first until you are certain you can't go any bigger, then attempt to undo it. (I think it is T25 and its easy to use a T20 by mistake.)
