Ronno - lovely pictures. I really like that place too!

I have a question - the first picture with a dog in it, umm.......is the dog photshoped in?

I doubt it was photoshappoed as Ronno has just managed to take pictures let alone photoshop them. It seems a low depth of field achieved by a high shutter speed. Taken on a Nikon D40 I would guess circa 2007 model:augie

Hi Mike, Thankfully, AndyT answered your query (Cos I haven't a clue how the pic turned out like that!) :D

The other one of Eva infront of a rock is also a cracker. The exposure on that camera certainly handles Eva's coat and the surrounding countryside :thumb

Skye and I sampled quite a few of the cracking roads in that area on the R1200GS not long after we got it. Never saw much of the countryside as we were following an Exige who certainly knew the area. Was totally amazed at the handling of the GS that day. I remember liking the roads around the Lecht. Luckly had GPS for the run back the next day. Would be nice to go back and take in some of the views

I've got to be honest and say that 90% of the folk who served us anywhere, be it shops, pubs or in distilleries were from sooth o' the border. I'm no' joking. It was quite a shock. Where are all the "locals"? Most of the folk were really friendly but the wee guy who owns the Whisky Castle in Tomintoull gets my vote for the maist annoying fecker that we met a' holiday. His accent was like water torture.

We met another English bloke selling whisky in Dufftown. He mentioned something aboot sharing a room wi' you at the Allargue Hotel :augie :D
