Starcom on a 1150GSA

Does anyone have any good tips on where you can mount the main box for a starcom unit on an 1150gsa? I had it in the toolbox on my old 1150 gs but cant on the gsa.

Any help would be great.

Have just fitted starcom units to gs1100 and gs 1200 in toolboxs removed tool kits

Colin, My Autocom unit was sited just rear of the tank under the seat... did about 7000 miles with it there.... no problems.

This is how mine is fitted on a 03 1150GS.

After these pictures I made the brackets slightly smaller. They were made from strips of mild steel which I protected by covering them with electrical shrink sleeving and sealed the ends with silicon.
