Just changed my handlebars back to originals as when I got the bike they had been removed. Now the steering feels unstable and as if the bike wants to drop into corner to fast when on the road and counter steering seems more difficult.... any ideas?

cheers

This sort of thing is usually down to routing of cables/wiring.

I'd get the front wheel up in the air and check for rubbing/pulling.

Good luck................

A bit of rubbing/pulling normally gets my front up in the air :D

Sounds like either the cables or headstock bearings :nenau

I have the scott damper on mine - it fits, but you have to mount it upside down:

Hi Mav,

Where did you get your GPS mount from?

It's the OEM BMW one:

To be honest, having bent it a couple times in falls I'm thinking of switching to a Holan unit (it's also good to be using the products I'm selling :blast ):

@ Mav

can I have some infos about your Scott steering damper ?

Is it effective, where did you bought it and how much,
does it fits on a Megamoto etc

Can I have some infos about the mounting also ?

Thank you very much,

thank you ! :thumb2

I'm in relation with him now, I just noticed that his email addr
was invalid.
Contacted him via internal Advrider email.

Apologies GSMarc - not sure how I missed this.

I can't help on the cost - it was fitted by the previous owner. As for fitting the megamoto - the trick seems to be about turning it upside down to make it fit between the bar clamps.

To be honest, I'm not sure that I need it - having ridden HP2's at the BMW school in Wales and mine quite a bit I can't really tell the difference. I think they really only come in to play if you're riding hard to induce a tank slapper. I had no issues with it essentially turned riding to the point of taking most of the chicken strips off. The other place it could/would come in handy is riding in sand - which we don't get much of here. The previous owner did take it to Morocco (and was very much in to his bling ) which might explain why he bought it.

In summary - the enduro has such a long wheelbase, I think it's pretty stable and doesn't really need one. For that matter, I don't think I've seen any of the competition bikes with one mounted either.

HTH
