100km done. 4500rpm max. But all mountain roads. Motor and box feel better already.
Returned to dealer at 9am. They switched on Quickshifter in coding with the laptop. And I asked about the bars. He said they didnt road test the bike to avoid adding km. So missed it.
All good. 1st service is now free.
Only thing I've changed so far is I moved the lever position a bit. And added 8 clicks/ turns of rear preload as it was wound right off to 0 and bike felt a bit lazy. Feels much better now.
Not touched anything else so far. Forks feel fine to me. Damping is compliant but nice and firm with no soggy sponge feeling like the rental. So I'll leave it alone for now. Quick shifter and blipper are great. All much better than the RS in that area.
Brings me to a point I make alot. About reviews. Many many reviews with guys who cant ride. Or in the reviews the test nothing. Ride along at 60kph commenting on brakes etc. But actually test nothing. There appears to be a big thing on Google about clunk into 1st and also QS poor. Yes there is a clunk. But its smooth. Not grinding. Feels natural as a design of the bike.
The QS is super smooth. Up and down. The manual states it only works from 2500 onwards. I have no idea what these guys are doing who find fault . For me it is beautiful and matches the bike perfectly with that very slightly longer throw of the gear lever.
Set up the modes in order of ascending assistance.
Sport everything off. TC. Abs. Power 1.
Road TC1 and power still 1
Tour more relaxed. TC2 Power 2.
Then progress upwards with Rain TC3 and power back to 3.
Paired phone and helmet. Interface is great. Can play music via dash. Phone calls. Navigation. Operate grips, TPMS, seats and screen.
So far only 2 things bug me. In the dark the yellow radar lights are bright. Distracting. But i suppose thats the point. But I find the radar great. Very useful here in traffic where there are scooters up your inside at 80kph when waiting at a traffic light

.
And the menu control. There are so many screens. If you flick right to get to screen position. Then go past it. You have about 8 more presses to cycle back through all the menus to return to it.
Overall. 100km and 4500rpm. Absolutely love it. Very impressed! Especially after reading online of how bad the brand is.
I'll keep updating as I gain more seat time.
