Just back from 8 wet days in France on the Guzzi :D
I have had a trouble free trip, but one niggle ----
When i start up n ride nothing flashes up, but once i stop and re start the bike the oil light warning stays on, have checked oil ok, no damp fuses.
Leave the bike for couple of hours or overnight re start and no warning light, ride for short while turn off engine, re start and up it comes again? Anyone know of a glitch on the Stelvio ???

All the symptoms you describe are those of low oil pressure when hot - kinda precisely what the warning light is for!

Try doing an oil change.

the fault code is probably visible in several places. it will say *Made In Italy* :D

you could try fitting a new sender switch.

if it's not that, then you're in trouble :(

sender switch

Will try fitting sender switch, thinking it's a switch or electrical fault, engine runs fine the warning light just seems to have a mind of its own :D no relavance to come on regardless of runnig 2 or 200 miles, once ignition turned off and on again, up she comes :D

you can access the diagnostics and fault codes by using the toggle switch on the left handlebar, it's a bit of a farkle using the toggle switch but it's in there! The fault code access number for the Stelvio is 10695 if my memory serves me right.

switch

It sits in between the engine 'V' on the left cyl, need to remove tank to get to it :blast thought I had an issue with no switch available except from MG direct and back order, but there has been a mod with different switch, I used Fowlers in Bristol, 'very' helpful, went out of there way to sort me even though it was only a £10 spend :D:D
Tell me more on Brecon ???

Do you have a part number for this switch from Fowlers? My bike will be out of warranty in October, it may prove useful for future reference as I will be keeping the bike for a couple more years.
The Quotatreffen is basically a rally for Moto Guzzi Quotas, and they are now allowing Stelvios to attend. It's held in a different country each year. This will be my first attendance, I'm travelling down on the Friday with another Stelvio owning mate. We've opted to camp in the field at the back of the pub. Looks like approx. 60 riders attending.
Civil, are you going?
